The Richardson Police Department has arrested 35-year-old Willie Cage in connection with the fatal stabbing of 46-year-old Tyrone Cuban Simmons.

On Tuesday, July 30, 2025, at approximately 5:55 p.m., witnesses called 9-1-1 to report a physical altercation between two men near the 900 block of East Lookout Drive. While officers were en route, one witness reported that one of the men appeared to have been stabbed, and the other was seen fleeing the scene by boarding the DART train at Galatyn Park Station.

Responding Richardson PD and DART PD officers quickly located the victim, later identified as Tyrone Simmons, and began life-saving efforts until paramedics from the Richardson Fire Department arrived. Simmons was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Through the course of the investigation, officers and detectives were able to identify the suspect as Willie Cage. He was located at the DART SMU/Mockingbird Station and taken into custody without incident. At this time, Cage’s bond has not been set.

The circumstances surrounding the altercation remain under investigation.
