Aggravated Robbery - Officer Involved Shooting Investigation

On 05/04/26 at approximately 4:00pm, Richardson Police responded to a reported robbery in progress at a business located in the 1400 block of East Belt Line Road.

Upon arrival, patrol officers received information indicating that the suspect was armed and had fled the scene on foot. Officers located an individual matching the suspect’s description walking east of the business and attempted to make contact. During the encounter, an officer-involved shooting occurred. The suspect was struck and transported to a local hospital.

The individual’s condition is currently unknown. No officers were injured. This incident remains under active investigation. Additional details will be released as they are confirmed.
